CELES STAYED OVER at the cabin for seven or so days after that. They spent most of that time having sex, all four of them, though admittedly, it was Lishe and Celes hooked on it the most, especially during the daytime. And since it didn’t rain in the evenings, Celes and Garren would climb up to the roof after dinner to chat about the adventures they each had been on during their years apart. Ines would take that chance to have Lishe all to herself in the bathroom or the sheets in the meantime, depending on which spot they preferred that day before they all ended up sleeping in the same bed. Then they would wake up at sunrise to Ines’ freshly cooked breakfast, and before they realized it, they were once again spending yet another listless day in utter debauchery.

That was how well Celes fitted into their every day in that cabin. If that were the case . . .

“Why don’t you just live with us here from now on?” Garren finally asked Celes one morning as they sat at the table for breakfast.

Celes’ mouth hung open. “Is that fine with you?”

Garren cackled. “Come on, it’s not like you have another years-long mission to disappear off to, right? It would be easier to drag you off to my party’s adventures like the good old days if we go home to the same house, and everyone here wants you around anyway.”

“But . . .” Celes shifted her gaze to Ines.

“Look,” Ines said, “I don’t see you as a nuisance at all. Rather . . . Lishe is the closest to a healer we succubi could have, but come to think of it, there’s no one around to nurse her to full health if she ever falls sick.” Ines averted her eyes. “Don’t get me wrong. I have absolutely no attachment for you or that human, but I’d rather have you around, for Lishe’s sake. That’s all.”

And with that, it was decided: Celes would be staying in this cabin for good. She rejoined Garren’s party soon after, and they went on every adventure together from that point forward. Of course, that meant they were far away from home most of the time, but Lishe didn’t mind—she was happy knowing the love of her life would get to have so many more fun adventures now that her best friend was back. Besides, Lishe wasn’t alone back home anyway. She had Ines by her side, as well as the occasional succubus traveler to nurse back to full health and the lovely spirits to welcome into her sheets late at night in the meantime.
